1st Midwestern Slang, trained by Oquinn Farm
We all knew the three year olds would dominate it was just a question of which one. Well it was the one with the fastest works of course. Travelling just worse than midpack for much of the race he picked up when asked and won by a fairly convincing length in the end. A narrow neck win in a grade three against his own age group last time was good enough form for this grade one and he will march onto the BC into the lottery of which three year old will be fastest on the day.

2nd The Force Awakens, trained by Diablo Diablo
Chose to lead by the wide gate speed push he did very well to keep second and ay one point looked like he had done enough to win. Of course that is very rare at HRP so it was no surprise he was collared but if he gets his chance in November with a better draw then he will go into the hat too.

3rd Sean Hannity, trained by Maxmillion Farm
The stable keeps coming up with these fairly good three year olds that put in a stellar turf work and become contenders in this type of race. Just the two wins to his name before this he got blocked a few times before running third and may have been a shade unlucky.

4th Speeding Zeus, trained by Maxmillion Farm
Took a nice position from his horrible draw and did really well after being trapped a little wide to end up fourth just two lengths off the winner. Beaten in a claimer last time i didnt have him pegged as the fourth best three year old in the race but apparently he was.

SUMMARY

Is it just me but there were 6 three year olds and six older horses in this race. The six three year olds finished first to sixth. Is that not the most ridiculous thing you have ever seen? Especially when you consider that the older horses had BC form and graded stakes winning form this year and some of the three year olds hadnt even run in a  stakes race before.
