Nothing like handing out the cold exacta, and Maxmillion Farm kept that hot weekend going with a nice win in the Princess Elizabeth Stakes as Triple Decker put the pedal to the metal from gate to wire, scoring in wire-to-wire fashion and taking this one by three-quarters of a length as the (nearly) even money favorite.  Balius, dismissed at nearly 10/1 odds continued her liking of the WO oval, taking the second spot by a half length over Centre Ville in third, then a neck back to Stung in fourth.  The final running time was 1:424 for the mile and a sixteenth stakes, and only four length covered the field of seven.

Triple Decker is a 2yo black filly by Charley Cowgirl – Danforth, by Nebula Fire, and she was bred in BC by Greeko Holdem.  Making her first start for Maxmillion Farm after a $125.000 private purchase, she now shows two lifetime wins from six starts, and takes her earnings to $216.000.  Congrats to the Connections!

Triple Decker broke alertly, circled foes to sprint clear entering the first turn, continued to set the pace from the rail, drifting slightly into the lane with a narrow lead, found more drawing clear, deep stretch, then holding off foe late.  Balius content to settle well off of the pace while racing three wide, began to inch forward through the far turn, widest of all, good late effort.  Centre Ville alert break, taken back given a breather on the backside, came again from the rail, out-kicked late.  Stung pressed the pace 3p throughout, out finished.  Genuine Desire trailed, some late interest.  Ginger Goddess saved ground to no avail.  Devils Bride pressed the pace to the lane, tired.
