  10  CD       Rags To Riches

We had a bit of an upset in Sundays Rags To Riches at CD.  Twin TowersRacing’s Beautifully Grusome, dismissed at 13/1 odds, sat just behind the pace, then went right on by when rattled, winning this mile and a sixteenth stakes by a length in a final time of 1:42².  Tactfully, second bet at 5/2 odds, was second, three quarters of a length in front of Twilight Time in third.  Stay In Order was fourth, with .40/1 favorite Dublin never finding her stride, and was last of five.          

Beautifully Grusome is a 2yo bay filly by Mr Grusome – A Beautiful World, by Commanding Crystal, and she was bred in KY by her owner, Twin TowersRacing.  This was her second win from five starts, and she now has $155.820 in earnings.  Congrats to the Connections.

Beautifully Grusome broke alertly to track the top of the lane, drifted lane while having more, won driving.  Tactfully broke on top, set the pace to mid-way down the lane, battled to the end but could not hold off the eventual winner.  Twilight Time rated well off of the pace, cut the corner, best foot too late.  Stay In Order tracked the pace 2p, fanned, faded.  Dublin was not a factor.
