With some of the strongest works this one looked a good choice on paper but somehow his trainer had to get him closer to the early pace to give him a chance to live up to the promise he had shown at home. Whether it was the draw that allowed him to do that or a masterstroke instruction from the trainer we will never know but he managed to stay back without losing touch today and that allowed him to use his good turn of foot at the right time. He looks the type that will stretch out over further and this may be a turning point in his career that see’s him build into next years KYD picture.

2nd Admiration Mb Stables Bridgmohan S X

Got a little further back than the winner but came home just as strongly to be second beaten just a half length. This will encourage his trainer and though he may not be the number one TC chance from the Mb Stable he does look good enough to have a go early next year.

3rd Call Me Godd Sir Daniel Martin Beschizza A

The trainer, the race engine, whatever it was… something made this horse revert to closing again and he finished well enough for third to suggest he is only going to get better the further he goes. Taken way back from the wide draw he was flying home and one feels with a little bit of luck and fair sailing he could turn out to be a good type leading into a three year old campaign.

4th Dreamscape Joshua Stables Albarado R J

the track was playing to closers today as the tracks generally do and so the fact that this one was a bit closer to the leaders than the first three means his performance wasnt too bad at all. Certainly this first effort on dirt suggests he is atleast as good as he is on turf and with only two prior starts he may be open to more improvement than those that finished in front of him.
