Purse $500.00 For Fillies Three Years Old Foaled In Canada

Monarchy from Mo Mentum Farm surely needs no introduction to anybody following the races these days, the three year old Canadian bred filly stands only 15.2 hands, but is a stocky 1178lbs when stepping onto the scales. When stepping onto any racetrack she is also the obvious horse-to-beat, a feat that hasn’t happened as of yet. She has been all racehorse in all seven starts and now eyeballs the first leg of the Canadian Triple Tiara Series. Beat her to collect. Malibu Cracker from Martyparty is diminutive at only 15.1 hands, but she is also all racehorse, tasting defeat only once in six starts. This will be her first with this grade of horseflesh, but her numbers and temperament show that she should be a solid fit. Sod Fairy from Nakamura Stables has been mixing it up with open company and thus takes a slight drop here into a state-bred race. Her stakes runs have improved with racing and she is effective both sprinting and routing, which lets you know she has plenty of gas for any route scenario. She won’t be intimidated here by her more accomplished rivals. Tariff Terror from Pan Farms is not nearly as sharp as several of her rivals here, but she did improve when testing state-bred stakes fillies late last year. She will need improvement for sure, but that’s not impossible with three-year old fillies.

Of The Rest;

Fire Missle from Mb Stables probably heads the barns three runners here, but is hard to gauge. On the positive side of things, she is sharp, draws the fence and has enough gas to push away early if so inclined. Her route races however don’t exactly inspire confidence, as her only two-turn win was a first level allowance in Louisiana. Conflicting information.

Hazel from Paradise Stable picks a tough spot to try for the hat trick here. The filly is sharp and on the improve, but my guess is a minor role is the best that can be hoped for in this spot.

Talking Phase, also from Mb Stables might be the bomb to use in your underneath exotics. She has two seconds in two starts and can obviously route. Her conformation is mostly turf, but turf horses trying dirt for the first time often throw down hard. Decent works and the perennial top barn in the country call the shots. An obvious toss for most handicappers, but most bombs usually are.

Lionhearted Lady, also from Mb Stables gets a tough post but is big at 16.1 hands and should develop quickly for the barn. She obviously wants a dry track as her numbers indicate. Still a maiden, she should be a big price, especially with the resume shown on the top several picks. If she can work out a trip she could also be a must use in the bottom of your exotics.

Queensbury from Williams9 was purchased for $5 and immediately paid dividends by breaking her maiden in her first start for the new barn in a straight maiden race for Canadian State-bred fillies. That is the good news, the bad news is that she did it on a track listed as good and in a four horse field. A win or high placing in this context would be a shocker.
