Three Year Olds

Only a field of six three year old fillies has bee entered up for this year’s running of the grade three Valley View over the Keeneland lawn. Small but good field here so lets take a look at the fillies.

1. Twizt And Shout (8-1-2-2 $93.330), trained by Whitewater Stables

First up in the field here and this filly has not been able to win since her maiden breaking win back in May. She was second in a stake after her win but the last two were not great. Going to have to step it up quite a bit to win this one.

2. El Gran Attention (7-5-0-2 $87.830), trained by Tiratzo

A win machine here but this is her first time ever on the turf and first time she will face stakes runners. She has been very tough with the lower levels of competition but she will have to run her best race to date to win this event.

3. Roses Secret (12-4-2-3 $137.760), trained by Night Rider Stables

Now to this filly who in her last start was third in the Virginia Oaks on a good turf course. She has tried stakes company a few times without a win but this small field could give her a good shot. She should be pretty tough in this race.

4. Intanga Rose (9-3-0-0 $115.200), trained by D J C Racing Stables

Next up here is a stakes winner but she has been beaten in every start since that stakes victory. She has faced some pretty tough runners though and this small field helps her chances. Definitely could win this one with a good effort.

5. Hollywood Phooey (13-3-1-1 $69.370), trained by Nakamura Stables

Most experienced runner in the field here and she has never been able to win at the staked level. She did win an allowance race two back but the was beaten very badly. She will have to run a career best to win here.

6. Paraparaumu Beach (5-1-2-0 $36.140), trained by TwinTowers Racing

This filly here will be trying the grass for the first time in her career and also she will try a route of ground for the first time ever. Tough spot to try both of those so she will have to absolutely love it to win I think.

Summary

Pretty even field here without a standout at all in here. The main runner I think is probably Roses Secret off of the third in a stakes last out. Good luck to all in the field.
