1st Vanderbiltt, trained by La Canada Racehorses

The return to statebred action got this horse back into the winners circle and also earned him his for stakes win. He had a perfect trip from the rail and won by half a length. He ran wickedly fast 1:15.24 and earned $120.000 for the win.

2nd El Gran Commander, trained by Threshold

Also a very good run from this horse as he ran a very good second and was only beaten half of a length in the end. He looked like he might get there for the win but he got wrangled up late by the winner. Good second from him.

3rd Iguacu Falls, trained by D J C Racing Stables

Rounding out the trifecta here was this horse and he ran a pretty gallant third and was only beaten a length for it all. He tried to make a run for the lead in the late stages but he just didn’t have enough to get there.

4th Sexy Back, trained by Night Rider Stables

Setting the pace early definitely did not go in this horses favor as he definitely did not have enough to hold on to the lead down the lane. He went quick early and just could not hold off the ones that went by him.

Summary

Big first stakes win for this runner as he finally got up against these statebred runners after a few close finishes. He should improve off of this win and be better later this year. Congratulations to Vanderbiltt and La Canada Racehorses.
