Wayward Prince was in no hurry leaving the gate, but after six furlongs, he was closing in on the leaders. He hit the wire a nose in front and set a new track record in the effort. Meanwhile, Chai Danger came from the back of the pack in a strong rush to the front only to come up a nose short in a tie with Buffalo G who also came from well off the pace.

1 Wayward Prince (Angelos Stable) Set a new track record in winning effort.

2 Chai Danger (Wolf Ridge Stables) Came from last to get up for second.

2 Buffalo G (Nakamura Stables) Late run got him second place in a tie.

4 West Hockey Party (Maxmillion Farm) Last early, rallied to get up for fourth.

5 King Luka (Night Rider Stables) – Stalked the pace, led briefly, settled for fifth.

6 Broad Brush (Czech Out Farms) – Set early pace, faded to sixth.

7 Manticore (High Voltage) – Close early, faded to last
