Mrs Revere – Grade II
CD Race #4 1 1/16m Turf Graded Stake
Purse $300.000 For Fillies Three Years Old.
1 Chais Princess Maxmillion Farm Maldonado E
This filly has been a little inconsistent this year and that maybe down to the fact that she has a slight preference for softer ground. Very often a very good horse that is dominant on a soft surface tends to be good but a length or two slower on faster ground and that certainly seems the case with this one. Now having said that lets not forget she took the SA Oaks on a fast track and although that was on the dirt track she proved in the Lake Placid she can go on the grass too. The turf wizard paid good money for this one and Maldonado the turf king takes the reins so you must like this one on any going.
2 Rules Are Madness Angelos Stable Velazquez J R
In contrast to Chais Princess this one has a strong dislike for rain so the chances of the inside two will come or go with the weather. Eleven lengths behind Chais Princess in the Lake Placid there is no way on a faster surface that would be repeated especially when you look at her comfortable win in the Lake George and the Autumn Miss last time out.
3 Blondewithhandcuffs Mb Stables Tunon M
Its pretty uncommon to see Mb Stables with just the one runner in a stakes race but as we come to the end of the year many of the top horses will be taking a break. This filly was an ungraded stakes winner before finishing second in both the Mabee and the Valley View so is more than capable of stepping up here and as usual from this yard has excellent works and a great draw. Plenty to like about her chances but this is a very even field.
4 Lorraine Mo Mentum Farm DeCarlo C P
Here is a filly in form and in her last three starts she has improved beyond all recognition. Her easy all the way win in the QE II Challenge Cup last time with Chais princess well behind was the culmination of three wins which saw her move from a nice overnight filly to a grade one winner. On form she looks unbeatable but we all know there is no such thing at HRP.
5 Tightrope Walker Diablo Diablo Davis D
Here is another filly that has hit form and was a comfortable all the way winner in the Sands Point last time. Prior to that win she had looked a shade one paced when ridden a little way back so her best chance may be if she can get onto the lead early and control the pace.
6 Bagina Chili King Stables Wilson E J
Her third in the QE II Challenge Cup behind Lorraine was a great step up on her previous form and gives her every chance in this field given a decent trip from the six box. She may struggle to turn the form round with Lorraine but does have claims of being the best of the rest.
7 Laffer Our Athletes Beschizza A
Less than a length behind Blondewithhandcuffs in the Valley View last time she will also need luck from a wide draw but comes into this with every chance.
8 Angel Shark John Henry Bejarano R
How often do we see the best chance in the race tested by a wide gate. Well here we are again with the BC Fillies and Mares fourth running as she did that day from a wide draw. She has in fact got a long list of bad draws and is one of those you look at and wonder about how random the draw generator is but considering her bad luck she has some big wins to her name and should be favorite to win this race. Bought for just under $500.000 her new trainer will be hoping that Bejarano can work his magic and steer this filly home.
SUMMARY
This race is only made difficult by the draw as Angel Shark looks the best filly in the race today. If the rains come Chais Princess could be a lively bet but i can go past John Henry’s filly on form.
Second looks a toss up between Lorraine and maybe Blondewithhandcuffs but this race is close enough that anything could happen.
