This three year old really stepped up last time in taking an allowance over this course and distance in a sub 1.09. That is serious form but she was carrying less weight so you have to remain grounded in reading into that effort. Drawn the ace there is no doubt she can win this.

Another very solid three year old sprinter that in previous years would probably already have won a stakes race. She showed plenty of pace to be third in the Open Mind over course and distance last time and ran a similar time to Canary for One carrying more weight so from this great draw she must be a serious winning chance.

She took the Dogwood on this track last time over the seven furlongs but had been a bit in the wilderness previous to that after a strong start to the year. The winner of the Santa Ynez Stakes and then a close fourth in the Eight Belles she was then put out to lower grade for the summer when it was clear the three year old weren’t competing with older horses. There is a bit of evidence to suggest that the younger generation are catching up now so here she is again after a good win last time.

Clearly the class mare in the race, she was fourth in the 2020 Breeders Cup Sprint and that is very good form for an ungraded stakes race but she has never quite lived up to that before and after and whilst there are some excellent efforts there are also some that came out a bit flat. On her day she would win this hands down.
5 Durr Our Athletes Jaramillo E
Fourth behind Sinissipi Strange in the Chillingworth last time however that was from a wider draw than her rival who had the two box so that can easily now be turned around in HRP world. A good winner of The Rondeau Stakes before that she comes from the same toy box as the other three year olds in this race and there isn’t much between them.
6 Sinissipi Strange Threshold Moran D
An improving four year old who was a good winner of the Chillingworth last time out she gets the coffin draw and that could be the main difference between these horses today. Overcome the handicap and she could win.
SUMMARY
A very even field of sprinters, which is good to see after seeing so many sprints being taken out by converted routers. The three year olds would have all been good enough in previous years to take this but it isn’t so clear cut this year so they come in pretty even with the two older runners despite getting weight and running the same sort of work and race times. If Sinissipi Strange gets any favors from the race engine she could be the winner.
