Wide Open Belle Mahone Stakes Should Be Good for the Gamblers

Belle Mahone Grade 3 1 1/16 on Dirt

Purse $150.00 For Fillies And Mares Four Years Old And Upward

Woodbine Racetrack Toronto, Ontario Canada

Black Regazze from Nakamura Stables is a four-year-old filly in a spot where she might be able to have a breakout run as she tries to move back up the ladder with older foes. She was a graded stakes horse as a three-year-old and has shown no signs of any four-year-old jinx. She will sit closer to the pace than most of her older rivals and might get first jump in a spot with many questionable foes. Might be her time to shine. R U Ready To Code from The Sidley Stud is drawn outside, will get an outside push in this spot and should be sent along. She has a sprinter drawn to her inside that is quicker, but that also does not appear to want the distance, so no telling what instructions will be given from that camp. Either way, “Code” should be out in a hurry and probably lead at some point. From there on it’s just a matter of how she feels on the afternoon. Big work in Pennsylvania before shipping out. Spelkenfelter Twin from Paradise Stable is interesting. At age seven, she has only earned a few cents shy of $70.00 lifetime, but her last two starts fit here numbers wise and her last is impossible to look past. A repeat of that effort in Arcadia puts her squarely in the hunt. Mightiness from Winning Link Stables might be the one on Saturday in the wide-open Belle Mahone Stakes. Purchased for $150.00 on May14th, the new connections waste no time in putting her back under silks as she approaches six months since last seen in the afternoon. She has a bullet move in Arcadia, the first for the clocker since last November, however, as good as that is, one has to question the training move just 4 days prior to a race in Toronto, Canada. Can she possibly be ready-to-go numbers wise?

Of The Rest:

No Ones Comparing from Mb Stables must be considered in a wide-open race like this, just because of the connections and the fact that this is where backing a top barn usually pays off. The context here is muddy, to say the least, this four-year- old’s last effort fits big and especially so if you look at the last three efforts and toss the off track one out. Food for major thought.

Star Sapphire from John Henry is a five-year-old mare that is 0-9 going long. She does however close with interest on occasion, so she probably should be used on your exotic tickets.

Wavy Girl from Saratoga Stud shows a decent amount of mileage for a six-year-old mare and it looks to be catching up to her. Over a year since her last victory party is not a good sign for a lifetime winner batting 33%. Still, if she fires her best shot, she will have to be used in exotic wagers.

Reflex Action, also from The Sidley Stud is hard to gauge because if she is well meant, her running style could compromise her stablemates on the outside. Maybe best to use them both or use neither.

Love Music from Ire Iron Stables has run two races for the new connections. A win in an optional claimer on a fast track and a second place finish in a small state bred field in the mud. She will get the distance and will close, good luck to a new 2026 licensed trainer.

Complicated Crazy from TwinTowers Racing appears to be a sprinter, drawn on the outside in a field full of question marks. Just not my type of play.

Apple Berry from Arq Racingfarms is a very lightly raced five year old mare drawn on the fence here. She is 4 for 5 in the money when going long. However, that’s where the good news stops, as I would have a hard time seeing her wire this group and that appears to be her best chance. Pass.
