The May seemed to be a two-horse race from gate to wire… Agie Of Aquarius broke alertly, set the pace to the furlong pole but was reeled in like a catfish as the Smokey Stover trained Wild Light, who had applied pressure throughout the flat-mile NY-bred stakes, pushed by and won by a quarter length.  The final time was 1:35.84 over the AQU main oval, which was labeled Fast.  Lita was third, while no threat to the top duo, and Osare took the minor money. Eight lengths covered the field of ten.
