This highly consistent three year old broke through for her first graded win today but had to share it in yet another dead heat at HRP. We saw both wide gates steadied back which is almost unheard of and whilst this one came from a little further back the two of them were locked in a great battle to the line. She seems to be improving this campaign and she looks like a real nice sort going into the sprints through Summer and Autumn.

Her one big failure came from a wide gate when not pulled back but today she managed to find a spot off the lead and was game to the line to share the win. This makes five from eight for this filly and her third black type with this being the first at graded level. A bargain claim at the start of the year she is showing the sort of improvement we see from claimed horses and could well go on to bigger success.

3rd Silver Jazzmin The Sidley Stud Espinoza V

She likes to go on the speed and with the wide gates anchored back she found the lead early in this race. It looked like she may cling on at the furlong pole but couldn’t make it six wins in a row. Another great advert for the class system (not) she came from two wins at FON to nearly prevail today at the big track.

4th Always Wendy Mb Stables Gryder A T

Fourth beaten a length in a grade one last time to fourth beaten just under a length in a grade three, such is the competition here at HRP. Stalking the lead i thought she would go on but she may have found this trip a bit sharp in the end against this level.
