Z Command Gets Back On Track in The Suncoast Stakes

The Suncoast Stakes [KYO]
1 Mile 70 Yards Dirt Stake Purse $150.000 Filly 3 Year Olds.

1st Z Command Joshua Stables Colon L H

Tactics were key on this track today and this horse got the perfect ride just in behind the leader to win like a favourite should. Pretty slow fractions were the winning of this race and once she had mastered the leader she pulled away for a three quarter length win putting herself firmly into the KYO picture as one of the early favourites.

2nd Innocent Approach Mb Stables Gallardo A A

She had the right idea on a pace dominated day but in the end got beaten by the better filly. Running with the winner for much of the trip she could not match her turn of foot at the end but was a creditable second.

3rd Steady Sneaks Smokey Stover Ortiz I Jr

Was a little too far back on a day when closers were struggling but stayed on pretty well for third and did enough to suggest she may get another chance to get into the KYO field.

4th Piece Of Heart SamIam Centeno D E

Centeno loves rating them from the front and he took this inexperienced filly to the lead and managed to get away with pretty soft fractions. At the end she was a little out classed but fourth behind the likes of Z Command wasnt bad for a filly in her fourth race day start.
