1st Zombie City, trained by Pan Farms

Wow a very big performance from him in here as he powered home to win by two lengths in the end. He ran a very big race and won rather easily for this competition that he faced. He came from a sort of stalking position and really powered home late. He won in 1:47.74 and warned $360.000 for the win.

2nd Simple Request, trained by Saratoga Stud

A very impressive run from this horse also as he came from very far back and from the outside post to get up for the runner up position. He was far back and I’m sure the was the tactic from that outside post so he didn’t rush to the lead. A very good runner up performance from that post and trip.

3rd Indistinguishable, trained by Mb Stables

My top pick in the field could only muster up a third place finish but it was at least better than a fourth or worse finish. He sort of sat midpack or a far back stalking position and then looked like he was going to roll to the lead but then sort of never kicked on. He didn’t run bad but I expected more.

4th Dream Controlled, trained by Mb Stables

My second pick of the race could only muster up a dead heat finish for fourth with Lane Frost. He sat kind of far back in the field really and mad a little move but then sort of flattened out down the lane. He didn’t run a bad race at all but like his stablemate I expected a bigger effort to come from him.

4th Lane Frost, trained by Sanny Village

Finally the first time in a while we have seen a good race from him and maybe it was the jockey change or shorter distance but he finally ran a good race again. He stalked most of the way and just kind of kept battling on down the lane to dead heat for fourth. Not a bad race at all form him.

Summary

A very exciting race but man oh man did Zombie City just blow the competition out of the water in here. He fended off two triple crown race winners and multiple graded stakes winners and Kentucky Derby starters. A very good race and congratulations to Pan Farms on Zombie City and the win.
