The FL Sire Stakes – In Reality
For Two Year Olds Foaled in FL
One Mile and Sixteenth
Gulfstream Park
Purse: $500.000
State Bred Two Year olds hit the spot light here at Gulfstream Park on Saturday as the FL Sire Stakes – In Reality will take place with a purse of $500.000 on the line. We have a field of six that showed up so lets take a look.
1) One City ~ one of two entries for owner Mb Stables makes his way into this start a winner at BEL against N1X. That start came at a mile and sixteenth. He has a trip of the strip here at GP which came two starts back against State Bred N1X as he finished second. He should be in the mix in this one and goes out with M. Mena aboard
2) Anybody Home ~ the second entry for owner Mb Stables makes his way in looking to break his Maiden. He has been close in his last two and ownership thinks enough of him to put him in this Stakes Race. His last start was at LAD and he just missed by three parts of a length at a mile and sixteenth. Has improved in each race and gets Luis Saez to climb aboard.
3) Opening Week ~ a winner in his one at LAD as he took on N1X over the sod and prevailed by three parts of a length. He has now won two out of four, but will move back to the main track for this one. He did score his Maiden over the dirt but it came at four furlongs. He will stretch out for this for owner Barcelona Farms and jockey R. Sanchez will be aboard.
4) Champagne Supernova ~ comes into Saturday a winner in two of his three starts this year. He broke his Maiden at first asking at SA, as he then ran fourth at EMD against oclm for $25.000. Then he shipped here to GP and really brought his A game that day and was a half a length winner in the $300.000 FLSSA. He now looks to bring that same run once again for owner Eastern Equine and the owner puts J. Caraballo in the saddle.
5) Atomic Titty Twister ~ makes his way in off a second place finish in the GI Hopeful. Just a half a length back of the winner that day owner Blushing Meadows hopes he can stretch out just a little more and bring that same run with him which could put him in the winners circle with the added distance. He is another runner in here who has improved with each start and he looks for a taste of the circle on Saturday. He will go out with E. Nunez aboard.
6) Eastern Townships ~ he has enjoyed the GP surface as he has a win and a second in his last two starts against State Bred Stakes Company as he ran in the FLSSFa and the FLSSAf. He will get more room as he stretches out after coming up short in his last one. He should be in the mix come Saturday for owner / breeder Chili King Stables and will go to the gate with H. Hernandez.
