   7    MTH     The Goldwood Stakes

To the Jersey Shore for… well, in real life it’s a mess, but we don’t have to deal with any of that, now do we?  Its older ladies set to sprint five and a half furlongs on the MTH turf in The Goldwood Stakes.  No 3yo’s decided to enter, so we can throw the weight thing right out the window… not that we should talk about lady’s weights at the Jersey shore… but I digress.  I’m headed to the outside posts for my picks, and I landed on Macka Diamond as my top selection.  I know she didn’t show her best in that off-the-board outing vs. Alw horses at SA, but she was back on 14-days’ rest, and I think that was asking a bit of her.  She got a two-month rest and should be full of herself today.  Miss Fury catches the outside gate, but I think she is still a horse to watch.  She has two wins on the ’25 season and does get a bit of an easier task here, coming in from a pair of solid graded efforts.  The Card has a completely different idea, so wager accordingly.
