Keeneland – April 3, 2026

It seemed inconceivable but last season’s winner of the BC Juvenile Fillies and champion 2-year-old filly was on the bubble for qualifying for the Kentucky Oaks next month. With a sixth-place finish in the Fantasy at Oaklawn Park a week ago that is exactly where she was. She needed a good performance in the Ashland to guarantee her spot in the premiere sophomore filly race and that is exactly what she delivered when she roared down the stretch to notch the second G1 win of her career and re-establish herself as one of the leaders in the three-year-old filly division.

Winner: Wants It All (Mo Mentum Farm/J.R. Velasquez) Falling Angel/Explore Command (War Command) Ridden patiently early she settled about four lengths off the pacesetter down the backstretch. Began to move entering the far turn and still had a lot of work to do to catch State Title at the top of the stretch. Got to the flank of the leader with a sixteenth of a mile to go, gained the lead and had enough left to hold off the fast closing Something Ain’t Right on her outside to take the win. 100 points for finishing first puts her in second place for KY Oaks qualifying with 147 points.

Second: Something Ain’t Right (Alydar Stables/R. Bejarano) Zinfandel/Cinnamon Sky (Good Authority) Kept at the back of the field with the trailing pack and was asked to move the same time as the winner from a couple of lengths further back. Shadowed the winner’s move and swung widest of all into the stretch and closed strongly to the wire just missing by a long neck. Her second place gained 50 Oaks qualifying points which puts her in seventh place with 66 points.

Third: State Title (Mb Stables/L. Dettori) Dream Sequence/Oh For Juan (Supercomplication) Asked to run right from the break she took the early lead and separated herself from the field leading into the stretch. Ran on willingly to the wire but was caught very late by the top two. She earned 25 KY Oaks qualifying points for her first effort for her new barn and that places her in twenty-fifth place with 25 points.

Fourth: Shogun X (Serenity Stables/F. Pennington) Bold Ruler/Low Key Desires (Cherokee Desires) Like State Title above, she was making her first start for a new barn after being purchased privately. She stalked a couple of lengths behind the pacesetting State Title and rallied throughout the stretch but could not hold off the top two and was just nosed out of gaining the third spot. She earned 15 points towards qualifying for the Oaks and leaves her in forty-third place with 15 points.

Fifth: Rock Steady (Our Athletes/V. Espinoza) Oleg/In Da Wind (Full Of Run) Trailed the field and rallied but needed more ground to be able to gain a better placing. Earned 10 Oaks qualifying points for her fifth-place finish which puts her in fiftieth place with 10 points.

The Ashland was the second stakes win and second graded stakes win for Wants It All and brings the three-year-old daughter of Falling Angel’s career earnings to $1,853.280. It is the first Ashland win for Mo Mentum Farm and the second for jockey J.R. Velasquez who also won this race last year when piloting the now retired Creepy Runner Party.
