Never Hold Back from The Sidley Stud appeared to most handicappers as the barns lesser of its two entries, however this guy had other plans and rebounded back to top form with a big run on Saturday. Congrats to the winning connections. Big Bang Boom from Rock Creek got hammered at the windows and went off as the favorite as the gates opened. “Boom” responded with a big run and ran second in a solid effort. Knight Forgotten, also from The Sidley Stud continued on his great story and ran big to get third place here after being claimed for only $12.50 and winning in his first two afterwards. Cinnamon Caviar from TwinTowers Racing tracked in fourth and never gave up in a good effort to complete the superfecta.
Of The Rest;
Daylight Ride from Martyparty ran a decent race considering his obstacles today. Look for a drop and a score in the near future.
El Gran Cambio from Bears Stable made up a little ground late but not nearly enough and looks like he might need lesser company at this point.
Kentucky Fox from Night Rider Stables was unable to show much pace today and was subsequently unable to impact in a disappointing run.
Poisoned Apple from Santan Stables never was able to get closer than five lengths away and made no impact on the afternoon.
Caveat Emptor from High Voltage hit a new plateau of disappointment for the barn and his backers by throwing down a lackluster performance and running last. Given his excellent works and his past efforts, he looks like a horse in need of a layoff or at age seven he might just be nearing the end of the line.
