Blanket Finish in The Miss PS

The Miss PS – Grade III
6 Furlongs Dirt Stake Purse $150.00 Filly 3 Year Olds.

With about one and a half lengths first to last this was one of those races that really comes down to which horse got the luck, the breaks and really means very little as a form race. In the end though the favorite prevailed albeit by only a nose and as one of the few pure sprinters in the race it was the right result at the end of the day.

1st Z Is For Zero First Street Stables Court J K

Stalked the pace to win the Beaumont last time from the one draw, taken back to come with a late run today from the wide draw, it does make you wonder why a horses running style is dictated by the draw. Winning her fourth race in a row she was brave to the line just prevailing by a nose at the post. This filly is building her form really nicely now and as a three year old she has the season before her.

2nd Cream Soda Greeko Holdem Velazquez J R

Dived at the line but just failed by a nose in another good effort from this versatile performer. Being second in the FG Oaks and now second in this i do wonder what her best trip is but i am not sure that really matters much at this level at HRP. Another stride and she would’ve won but she didn’t though she lives to fight another day and there will be plenty more opportunities.

3rd Spy On Hollywood Estero Farms Davis D

Ran home really well and proved she is ready for this type of race. Her time will come.

4th Zero Twist John Henry Centeno D E

Stalked the lead and battled on, its difficult to weigh up this race as everything ended up in a heap and her running styles keep changing depending on her draw so we will have to wait a little longer to see if she can break through at this level.
