Say Florida Sandy
$135.000 For Four Year Olds And Upward Foaled In NY
7 Furlongs – Dirt
Aqueduct – February 14, 2026
A Boy Named Kate came home in stakes record time to take the Say Florida Sandy for D J C Racing Stables. Having made eleven previous starts for the barn since being claimed for $30.000 D J C placed him in stakes company for the first time and that faith was rewarded with an authoritative win.
Winner: A Boy Named Kate (D J C Racing Stables/Jam Rodriguez) Commanding The Storm/Hollywood Kate (Hollywood Kruz) Confidently ridden from the start and was allowed to settle a couple of lengths behind the pacesetters in the early stages. Moved strongly when asked and circled the small field to power home to his first stakes win and his fourth win in his last five starts. He is a neck short of having a five-race winning streak.
Second: Kentucky Fox (Night Rider Stables/Ru Silvera) Fox Ruler/No Hope Today (No Returns) Made his third strong run for Night Rider since being claimed and missed becoming a stakes winner by less than a length. Pressed the pace in a stalking position throughout and made a strong run in the stretch. Could not hold off the winner’s charge but finished willingly.
Third: Adrenaline (Nakamura Stables/J. Lezcano) People Pleaser/Risky Behavior (Tactical) Hardly ever runs a bad race and ran well here setting the pace into the stretch. Could not shake loose and eventually had to relinquish the lead to the top two but held on to gain his second stakes placing of the new season.
Fourth: Bronze Crown (TwinTowersRacing/D. Davis) No Doubt Bronze/Magic Centre (Magic In Me) Doggedly pressed the pace from the opening bell. Stayed head and head with Adrenaline early but never could gain an advantage on that one and gave way late but held on for the final check.
