Attraction is certainly a classy mare… when you win two races and put nearly $1,000.000 in the bank, you aren’t running in cheap races.  Well that class certainly came out in the 2016 Wiley (GI) where the 5yo grey mare hung just behind the pace, moved forward when asked and kicked clear by a length to get the job done in a final time of 1:394  for the mile and a sixteenth on the KEE lawn.  Post time favorite Broomsticks Copy was second, bringing her five-race win streak to an end, and 15/1 shot In Z Balance was a length behind that one in third.

Attraction broke well and allowed to settle in off of the early pace, pushed forward to engage the leader into the lane, won driving.  Broomsticks Copy up close early, unhurried while tracking the pace, responded when asked, could not contain the winner.  In Z Balance rated back while under a snug hold, good late closing effort.  Rock Warrior rated early, passed tiring rivals.  Fair Quest taken back early, evenly.   Vertiqineux inside trip, not a factor.  Tennessee Queen off a step slow, never involved.  Lingerie Fantasy ground saving trip, tired.  Altered Skeleton broke sharply from the extreme outside, crossed over to the rail entering the clubhouse turn, confronted, folded.  You Can Do It away well, chased the pace three wide early, up close through the far turn, quit.

Attraction is a 5yo grey mare by Pure Steel – Lucky 4 U, by Lucky Billy, and she was bred by Mb Stables in California.  Now showing fourteen wins from twenty-eighty starts, three of those wins coming this season, she has earnings of $3,674.170 with $386.000 of that being earned this season.  Quite an impressive race mare, it looks like this will be another big season for her.
