  • Good Memories Puts on a Clinic in Rushaway Stakes Rout

The Rushaway Stakes appeared on the schedule for the first time and as we move forward, this should be a race that continues to attract a lot of interest. A strong field of took part, and it would be one of the more lightly raced runners, Good Memories, getting the win and doing so by two lengths.

  • Avatar Edges Pink Attack at Wire to Win Latonia Stakes

Avatar came into the running of the Latonia Stakes after running well in a handful of NY-bred races but was arguably about to have the toughest challenge of her career here since the IA Oaks last Summer. In a field that seemed well-balanced, she went off at odds of 10/1 and would reward her supporters and trainer Smokey Stover with a winning effort.

  • Mike La Rosa LA Derby Gets Strong Field It Deserves

Last week, the game made the admirable decision to honor Mike LaRosa, a man who should need no introduction to those reading the SRF. After all, if it were not for him, we wouldn’t have a SimRacing Form. FG was his home track, and now his legacy will live on with the LA Derby.

  • Looking for Someone to Shine in Latonia Stakes

Like the Rushaway Stakes, the Latonia Stakes is appearing on the schedule for the first time since 2020. This race does not have a lot of history within our game, being only run twice, and for purses of $75.000 and then $100.000. The increase to $250.000 should lead to his becoming a race of interest, and we are off to a good start.

  • Rushaway Stakes Returns with Increased Purse

Returning to the schedule in 2024 will be the Rushaway Stakes, a race that was last held in 2020 and was run inconsistently since 2006. The main reason for that was probably the purse level, as on a couple occasions, it went for under $100.000 and then was exactly that every other year.

  • Wasted Away Shows Heart in Stretch to Win Any Limit

Sunday saw the running of the Any Limit at GP, which runs for a $100.000 purse. That won’t make it one of the highlights of the meet but it was still a chance for one of these fillies to win a nice race and potentially move into bigger things.

  • Fractious Goes 1-2 in The Hutcheson Stakes

In his last race, Last Round came from behind to finish here in the Grade 3 Swale Stakes, and based on that he seemed to be the horse to beat in the Hutcheson Stakes. We would make him our pick to win, and he also went off as the post time favorite. Not many people were surprised, therefore, went he crossed the finish line first.

  • Any Limit Could See Any of These Win

On Sunday, the $100.000 Any Limit will take place, but when looking at the field, it doesn’t look much different than a high level allowance. Those races can be very competitive too, of course, and there are some appealing looking horses amongst this group of six.

  • Hutcheson Stakes Draws Nine

A field of nine will take part in the ungraded Hutcheson Stakes at GP, a race that runs for a $100.000 purse. It was not always like that, however, as this was a Grade 2 from 2004 through 2013, and then a Grade 3 from 2014 until 2019.

  • Long Capo Handles the Mud Like a Boss in Big Daddy

Saturday marked the first running of the Big Daddy at TP, and it would be a wet one, as a driving rain storm left the track muddy. It didn’t stop the horse that we picked to win from winning the race, but it was certainly done in a manner that we were not expecting.
