Très Bien! Theresaplaceinfrance Wins My Dear Stakes
Early two year old stakes are often unpredictable, and that could not have been more evident when simply looking at the odds board for the My Dear. At 6/1, Theresaplaceinfrance was actually the post time favorite for the race, while also being our pick, and the longest shot on the board in the eleven horse field was 10/1.

It’s Party Time in The Quick Call
Mb Stables looks to continue his dominance in the Quick Call on Sunday, a race that he has won four years in a row, and five times overall. There will be eight horses running in this race that initially began as being a mile in distance, but a quick call was made to change to a sprint after a year.

My Frenchman Stakes Fills At The Last Minute
At the start of the week, there was only one horse nominated for the My Frenchman Stakes. As we got closer to the cutoff for the race, more horses were entered, and we will have six going to post.

Full Field of Two-Year-Old Fillies for My Dear Stakes
The gate will be full of up and coming fillies in the 17th running of the My Dear Stakes, which is a five and a half furlong sprint. The purse for the race has stayed within a range of $100.000 to $150.000 over that period of time, and the race has always been an ungraded stake.

The Golden Age Gets Back to Winning in The IND Derby
The Golden Age got off to a hot start with Mb Stables after the trainer picked him up in private sales, winning a couple of derby preps, including the SA Derby. He was chosen as one of the trainer’s three entries for the KYD, which in itself says a lot. However, the KYD did not go well, nor did his race a month later.

Mb Stables Sparkles With 1-2 Finish in The Suburban
After watching Darrow win the Manila, Mb Stables still had a lot more work to do, with two horses taking part in the Grade 2 Suburban, including Killer Instinct, who had been preparing to run in the Foster last week. The weather was much nicer this week for Killer Instinct’s return to the main track after winning the Man O War.

Mb Stables Sets Off His Opening SAR Fireworks with Darrow in The Manila
Mb Stables had a great Fourth Of July at SAR, winning all three of the day’s graded races at the Spa. That would get started in the Manila, as Darrow picked up his third win of the year, narrowly over Hail Justice. Darrow was our pick to win, but was just barely not the post-time favorite for the race.

IND Gets Its Spotlight with The IND Derby
It’s the one weekend per year where IND gets some racing to talk about, as the Grade 3 IND Derby takes place. This is the 13th year that the race has been carded, and it has seen some very good winners in its history, including but not limited to Edwin Drood and Wahpekute Sioux.

Foster Scratches Head to SAR for The Suburban
This past Saturday at CD, the rain came and left the Foster muddy, leading to four horses scratching out of the race. For three of them, this meant shipping up to the Spa to share the starting gate with Spankersville in the Grade 2 Suburban.
