The weather would leave the turf course as soft, but several horses in this field had done quite well in limited opportunities on off tracks thus far. Fanatical Empire had no issue with it at all, jumping out to the front from his outside post and staying there until the end for the win!

Big Names Head to GP for The Appleton
Three horses that ran in the BC last fall will be among the eleven that will compete in the 20th running of the Appleton, a race held on the inner turf at GP. There have been slight adjustments to the conditions over the years, including in 2019 when it was a race for fillies and mares.
