Three Year Olds Fillies NY Breds

A group of eight three year old New York bred filly sprinters are going to be heading towards the gate for this years edition of the Franklin Square. It is a pretty evenly matched race and there is not a huge standout in here but the outside runner looks the toughest. Now let’s go ahead and take a look at the field.

1. Move Slowly (5-1-1-0 $16.000), trained by Chili King Stables

Well our first filly that we come across is the runner right here. She is coming off of two not so great races where she got beat pretty handily in both. She has went to the front in her last two and that hasn’t worked so maybe changing up the tactics and taking her back might help a little bit.

2. Lead You To Water (8-2-1-3 $55.760), trained by Fractious

Now to this filly who is entering this race off of a win against allowance company at Turf Paradise in her last start. Before that she ran fifth against New York bred stakes company and didn’t run a bad race at all that day. She has a shot in here if she runs a big race for sure.

3. Squeeze Box (9-3-1-0 $21.090), trained by Paradise Stable

And now onto our third runner in the field who is entering this race off of a win against optional claiming company at Turfway Park. She ran a pretty good race that day and should have a shot in here if she has used that win to help improve her. She has a chance if she runs a big race.

4. Unprecedented (3-1-0-1 $33.320), trained by Smokey Stover

Well now here is a filly who only has one career win to her name and she got that win against maiden forty dollar claiming New York breds. She ran third against allowance company last out at Gulfstream. She will need a quick pace up top because she likes to close from way behind.

5. Maggie McGee (3-1-1-0 $15.700), trained by D J C Racing Stables

No surprise here that we have an entry from the wizard D J C Racing Stables and this filly enters this race off of an eighth place finish against Kentucky Oaks prospects in the Martha Washington at Oaklawn. She didn’t run horrible and this is a class drop but I don’t know how she will like the cutback in distance.

6. Immookalee (3-1-0-0 $36.000), trained by Team 7 Illusions

Now this filly right here is coming into this race off of her maiden breaking score where she beat New York bred maiden special weight runners. This is going to be her first time in stakes competition so she will have to run a big race if she want to have any shot at winning.

7. Attorney General (5-3-0-0 $0.000), trained by Mb Stables

This filly right here does have three wins to her name but the only problem is that they have all been against free track competition. She hasn’t even made a pay race start but Mb Stables bought her after her last start so that’s a good sign. She will need a quick pace because she like to come from behind.

8. Back Country (6-4-0-1 $126.980), trained by La Canada Racehorses

Finally we come to this filly right here who is on the outside of everybody and she looks like the best one out of them all. She is a two time stakes winner already and those were both against New York breds. She does like to sit close to the pace so a slower tempo on the front end will help her.

Summary

Now I think that this race is a pretty even group of fillies but I also think that this outside runner Back Country is the standout. She is already a stakes winner and none of the rest are so she has an edge over them. She is going to be my top pick in this race. Good luck to all of the runners.
