1st Black Mojo, trained by Mb Stables

The BC Classic champ from last year just keeps on rolling, with an impressive victory in the CT Classic. Sitting in the perfect stalking position the whole way he ended up drawing away at the end to win by a very impressive margin of two lengths. The final time of 1:47.56 was very quick and he ends up adding $720.000 to his bankroll.

2nd Shake It Off, trained by Smokey Stover

The filly ran a very good race to end up running second from the outside post and leading all the way. Looking forward the her next race to see how she will bounce back and there’s no doubt she’ll be very tough in the older filly and mare division the rest of the year. A courageous effort to run second.

3rd Bronx Bomber, trained by Aer Stables

The bomber sat back in a nice stalking position the whole way and tried to go with the eventual winner but was out gunned. A pretty good performance taking in account of the three month layoff and very fast final time set today. Trainer Are Stables will be hoping he can turn the tide though in some other big races this year.

4th Bay Of Plenty, trained by Team 7 Illusions

An impressive run from what was essentially a parking lot starting position. He had to go back to the rear of the field almost just to give himself a fighting chance in here and ended up finishing well to grab a piece of the purse. Two good route runs in a row puts him in the picture for the handicap division this year.

Summary

Black Mojo was absolutely monstrous today. A final time of 1:47.56 is very, very quick and shows just how good he really is. The filly ran very good from way outside and after setting the pace most of the way. The others will look to improve over the rest of the year and try to take down some big purses the rest of the year.
