Black Scorpion Holds On in The Hutcheson Stakes

The Hutcheson Stakes – Grade III
6 Furlongs Dirt Stake Purse $100.000 Open 3 Year Olds.

1st Black Scorpion Blushing Meadows Jaramillo E

With two lengths from first to tenth this was a classic HRP sprint where anything could win before the race and anything could win next time they meet. There was no fluke about this winner though who put himself on the front where he likes to be and kept on very gamely for a neck win. He is a little pocket rocket when it comes to sprinting and i am sure he will progress through the season.

2nd Cucamonga Tiratzo Hernandez R M

Took up a good enough position and went to win his race at the furlong pole but couldnt get past the gutsy winner in the end. This was a solid run but i do wonder whether he is ready to go a little further.

3rd Black Flags La Canada Racehorses Jimenez A

Kept on strongly for third in a very close finish

4th La Grange John Henry Sanchez Jef

Stalked the lead and kept going to the line in a heaped finish
