Brittle Gives Aer Stable Something to Smile About at Last

Iroquois – Grade III [BC]
1 1/16 Mile Dirt Stake Purse $200.000 Open 2 Year Olds.

1st Brittle Aer Stables Bridgmohan S X

Its a good job this trainer who had both feet out of the door whilst accusing HRP of all sorts of misdemeanors stuck around long enough to see this horse become one of the best juveniles we have seen so far. Rather than retiring the trainer has been quietly replacing stock through the auction so it looks like they will be around atleast long enough to see this one run in November. Now the winner of three in a row he overcame a terrible draw powering home to snatch victory by a head. Working like a three year old and running times like one too he wont need to have to improve much to be a big hope in 6 weeks time.

2nd= City Sniper John Henry Leparoux J R

This horse went from being sold for $500.000 to being sold for $10.000 in 11 days and very nearly made it three black type wins in a row. Drawn much better than the winner he was closer to the pace but after being shuffled back a bit after half way he had to dig deep and run on gamely for a share of second. He will get a chance to beat Brittle in the BC and that is going to be a rematch worth seeing.

2nd= Mystic Hero D J C Racing Stables Sanchez M J

This must be the best maiden in training running his fifth pay finish and his second dead heat. It shows in many ways how similar the grades are here these days that he can come off a length defeat in a maiden and run a head second in a grade three. The trainer likes to take a punt and it came off with this one who may just squeeze into the BC with a chance of making that race his first ever victory.

4th County Medical Crocker Ggs Hernandez R M

Right up on the decent pace and kept on really well to be beaten less than a length. This was a great effort in his first race over 5.5 furlongs and he looks to have a bright future.
