See, Rabbits Can Win at HRP!!

Pocahontas – Grade II [BC]
1 1/16 Mile Dirt Stake Purse $200.000 Filly 2 Year Olds.

1st Rabbit For A Cause Jive Inc. Lanerie C J

Considering what the topic of conversation has been in the last few months this has to be the best named horse EVER at HRP. The current owner cannot take credit for that however as this one was bred by Team 7 Illusions and owned by Barcelona Farms before Jive Inc was involved. The thing that Jive Inc can take the credit for however is the two wins in two starts that they have achieved since paying just a tenth of his pre race worth. Sitting a little back off the pace she was always traveling and went to the front readily when asked pulling away for a handy three quarter length win. This one has really burst into the BC picture now and just how great would it be to see her sailing home off a cartoon like pace in the big one.

2nd Blonde Bomber Smokey Stover Carmouche K

This one has also been bought and sold a couple of times, the difference being this one went up by twenty times its pre race value rather than down. Bred by John Henry she scraped home in her maiden under Joshua Stables but changed hands to her current owner who threw her against the wall for this one and has come up with a real BC prospect.

3rd Watheerah Team 7 Illusions Bridgmohan S X

You cant complain when you claim a horse from a maiden and then next up its third in a grade two. This filly looked to be struggling a bit but with little or no difference between maidens and stakes races these days it only takes a punt to find out how good they are and T7’s punt paid off here.
In the stalk early she kept on well enough but i would struggle to see her turning the tables on the first two in the future.

4th Never Forgotten D J C Racing Stables Gaffalione T

A little disappointing after her Adirondack win, she got back again today but couldnt negotiate the traffic and ended up running on for fourth but never looking a winning chance. I feel her trainer will need to get her to run a little close in the BC unless of course there is a rabbit for a cause!
