It was a rainy day in the northeast today, and PRX would not be spared from mother nature. The wet weather left the turf course as soft. That would be great news for the longest shot on the board, Barr, as the gelding would go off at odds of nearly 11/1.

Let’s Give Tellcharlieitsforyou The Wild Applause
None of the horses in the Wild Applause had a resume that made them stand out over any of the other ones. It was a field of six hopefuls looking to advance their career. Jinxed Artist Opens Eyes with Dominant Monomoy Girl Win
Jinxed Artist was making her first start in a stake in the inaugural Monomoy Girl, and in a race that was wide open with no clear headliner, she seemed to have a very good shot at it. She had won two of three and had an appealing work at PRX coming into the race.
Six Look to Win the Inaugural Monomoy Girl
On Saturday at CD, a new stake will be run, The Monomoy Girl, sending three year old fillies a little over a mile on the main track. For now, the race is ungraded, but offers a purse higher than some Grade 3’s, so it has certainly made a positive first impression.
