Chili King Loves a Wet Bagina

The Hillsborough Stakes – Grade II
1 1/8 Mile Turf Stake Purse $225.000 Filly & Mare 4 Year Olds And Up.

1st Bagina Chili King Stables Alvarado J

You know i couldn’t have wished for a better winner of this race because this is one headline that will have me giggling for a while, almost as much as my spelling suggestion software did. Starting the rank outsider at 65/1 she loved the wet ground and stormed home a clear winner. Bring rain in any of the big races and this one will be a contender.

2nd Pirate Petranella Smokey Stover Velazquez J R

It is not that this grade one winner and two year old BC winner hates the wet but she certainly isn’t as effective on it and today just floundered when the whips came out and ended up second. There are wins in her but i feel if they don’t come soon this massive breeding operation will be too tempted to put her to the paddock.

3rd Here Z Comes First Street Stables Stein J

Up on the pace it was always a matter of whether there was a webbed hoofed runner in the field and sure enough when the two favorites started to battle along came the winner to put them away. Third in the end was OK but she will be wanting a drier track next time.

4th Concordia Nakamura Stables Bahen S R

Got up onto the pace but i think the wet track didn’t suit her instructions and she was too tired at the end to make a fight of it.
