Close Racing Continues as Tropical Turf Stakes Sees a Dead Heat

Tropical Turf Stakes – Grade III
1 Mile Inner Turf Stake Purse $100.000 Open 4 Year Olds And Up.

1st = Butter Ball Aml Racing Tunon M

Well this race as expected pretty much sums up HRP at the moment with 4 lengths between the runners at the end and the form so close that a single winner couldnt be determined. Butter Ball shared the win today taking advantage of his better draw against the two principals drawn outside him. A good honest sort with an excellent win record of ten from twenty two he looks set for another good season but may find it hard now he looks to move up the grades.

1st = General Ferro Mb Stables Jaramillo E

Dug deep from his trip and draw to get the dead heat and this was a good effort considering. Out of the two winners he may have the most upside going forward and if he gets a good draw in better grade he could turn out to be a good sort.

3rd Red Cup John Henry Velazquez J R

His first turf race ever showed us that he is certainly worth another go and one feels that with a better draw and a little further he could end up being a contender for the rest of the season.

4th Multiple Shadows Our Athletes Gaffalione T

Ran on for fourth and ran pretty much up to expectations for the trainer. He looks good enough to pick up a similar race in time but this is a tough division to win in.
