Is there a better way to set up one of the biggest races at a meet then to have a nice Grade 1 race on the same card? Well that is the case today at Saratoga and here were are looking at a group of talented 3 year old fillies that are tackling the tricky 7 furlong distance on the dirt. The weather is perfect here and the betting public has shown solid support for Dashboard Rahy. When the gates sprung open there was one horse who decided that she was not going to try and work out a trip and she rocketed to the front and that was Chili Time. 2 furlongs into the race she had pulled to almost a 2 length lead over Babatime who was sitting a nice stalking trip behind the 23 second flat pace. Dying For Iron and Dashboard Rahy were both tied for 3^rd at this point in the race. 4 furlongs into the race Chili Time was still in front and did not slow down at all going the half mile in 46 seconds flat. Babatime was still in 2^nd and Dying For Iron had pulled just ahead of Dashboard Rahy for 3^rd. 2 furlongs from the wire Chili Time appeared to be getting leg weary and Babatime and moved out wide to make her move, but the betting favorite Dashboard Rahy had moved into third and appeared to be traveling the best of all at this point. With about a half furlong to go Dashboard Rahy used her long strides to run by the field and powered home to the win. Babatime also made a nice move and worked her way into 2^nd place, while Chili Time held on to 3^rd. This was a very impressive run for Dashboard Rahy who can now add a Grade 1 victory to her resume.
