The Woodbine Oaks 1 1/8 on Dirt
Purse $500.00 For Fillies Three Years Old Foaled In Canada
Woodbine Racetrack Toronto Ontario, Canada
–Malibu Cracker from Martyparty was our second pick during the race preview and she put away our top pick, Monarchy, as well as everybody else in the lineup and won the Woodbine Oaks in style. The diminutive filly has only tasted defeat one time in six lifetime runs and is turning into a horse to be reckoned with as the three year old fillies march forward. Congrats to the winning connections. Fire Missle from Mb Stables Was heavily supported at the windows and took back in the early stages and then came running to grab second place in a solid effort. She is improving and moving up the ladder. She certainly will have a look in any Canadian bred race on the horizon. Sod Fairy from Nakamura Stables also took back early and then came on gamely to hit the bottom of the trifecta. She also appears to be improving on her game with racing. Monarchy from Mo Mentum Farm was forced to taste defeat for the first time Sunday as she battled just off the leader and then did not have enough left for the long stretch drive. She managed to just edge out Hazel for the last spot in the superfecta by a nostril.
Of The Rest;
Hazel from Paradise Stable came up a nostril short of getting forth place today. A better than looked effort against some stiff competition should have her on edge for her next assignment.
Talking Phase, also from Mb Stables, was hard sent and battled for the lead to the far turn before tiring to back out of it and ran sixth. She should be well met in her next appearance after setting up the table here.
Queensbury from Williams9 showed only positional speed before tiring and getting outrun on the afternoon.
Lionhearted Lady, also from Mb Stables got some experience and not much more as she was only able to circle the oval with her adversaries this afternoon and made no real impact.
Tariff Terror from Pan Farms was only able to show brief positional speed today and then backed out to run last.
