Dream Whisperer Wins The FG Oaks

The FG Oaks – GII [KYO]
FG Race 9 1 1/16M – Dirt
Purse $400.000
Three Year Olds Fillies

1st Dream Whisperer, trained by Mb Stables

A big winner win for this one filly right here as she rebounded off of a bad performance in her last start to redeem herself in here. She stalked the early pace and sat in a good spot early on. When the jockey pressed the go button she motored home to win by three quarters of a length. She ran the race in 1:41.96 and earned $240.000 for the win and also earned a berth into the Kentucky Oaks.

2nd Panentheism, trained by Smokey Stover

This filly right here also ran a very big race and also qualified for the Kentucky Oaks for sure. She sat right off of the leader in the early stages and she actually hit the lead for a second at the top of the lane. She just wasn’t strong enough to hold off the winner but she is in the Kentucky Oaks even without the win.

3rd Cardi B, trained by Gdp Inc

Well this runner right here stepped up in class very good and ran a very strong third after being the pacesetter for most of the way. She broke good and went straight to the lead and set decent fractions before tiring just a little bit. She still ran a strong third but unfortunately did not earn enough points Oaks points to get in the race.

4th Book Of Aggravation, trained by Estero Farms

Last filly on the board right here and she ran a pretty good race for being last most of the way. In the early parts she was last and she was actually even last entering the stretch but she made a nice rally to at least get up for fourth. She was only beaten two lengths but she will not make the Kentucky Oaks field.

Summary

This race turned out to be a very good one for sure with two of these fillies already locked into the Kentucky Oaks field. The top two will be going to Churchill Downs for sure and they should be key contenders in that race. It was a big win for Dream Whisperer and she ran a huge race for sure and beat a lot of quality runners. Congratulations to Dream Whisperer and Mb Stables.
