Eight Sprint in Kona Stakes

Eight horses line up to go 6 1/2 furlongs in the G3 Kona for a purse of $200.000

1. Orange Star trained by Allinthegate: This horse takes a crack at this level for the first time sprinting. He has not run worst than 4th in over a year.

2. Along For The Ride trained by Robeth: After running 11th in the Breeders Cup Sprint he has failed to hit the board. Looking to find his form again here.

3. Bob Mueller trained by Twin Towers Racing: This horse is trying to break through a stakes sprinter, having a troubled trip in his previous start he gets another chance to prove his abilities today.

4. Kapa Gold trained by John Henry is probably one the best New Mexico bred sprinters breathing air right now. He has shown he can compete out of state bred competition too and will try and prove it again today.

5. A Beagle Named Boo trained by John Henry: Has a great string of performances. He will love the distance today and will be right there at the wire.

6. Down In Pocomo trained by Nakamura Stables: Comes off an allowance win at Tampa. Testing the stakes water for the first time.

7. Comic Gold trained by Mb Stables: Has won four in a row including a stake a Sunland Park where he was 8th by 12 lengths at one point in the race. Can run into a slower pace but this horse here will be tough to beat today.

8. Duke or Earl trained by Gdp Inc: Cutting back to 1 turn where he has done most of his damage going a route running out over $440.000. This horse might be getting old and just losing a step and they are trying to find a few more good races in him.

Good Luck To All!
