Electric Finish in Sloppy Forego

The Forego – Grade 1 – $500.000

SAR – 7 Furlongs – Dirt

For Four Year Olds And Upward

August 26, 2023

Electric’s performance was not a shock, but it was a bit of a surprise. The five-year-old gelding had performed well in the Kona and the San Carlos, both graded stakes. But that was early in the year. He hadn’t been to the winner’s circle since an allowance win in January. All of that changed on Saturday when he came from mid-pack to win the biggest race of his career.

Complete Order of Finish:

1 Electric (Angelos Stable) Came from off the pace to win by a neck.

2 Championship Rounds (Mb Stables) Stalked the pace, took the lead briefly, outrun by a neck.

3 Demon (Wood Duck Stables) Close to the lead throughout and took home show money.

4 Crush Rush (Maxmillion Farm) Led early, ended up fourth.

5 Dancing Rattler (Martyparty) Steady mid-pack performance to finish fifth.

6 Rudy Is With Me (Mb Stables) Never a factor.

7 Neo (Arindel), 8 Training Wheels (Gdp Inc), 9 Personal Ruler (Wood Duck Stables), 10 Bigmouth Raj (Night Rider Stables), 11 Plan To Wheel (Fractious), 12 Sting Operation (TwinTowers Racing)

Bred in FL, Electric is by Neon Wolf out of the Grandeur mare, Manifest. The victory was the ninth in thirty-six starts and brings his career earnings to $967.750. Congratulations to Electric and Angelos Stable!
