Fillies Set for Sunday Fun in ELP Debutante

If the boys get to go, so do that ladies… so we look at the field for the ELP Debutante for the 2yo fillies going seven furlongs on the main track here in Henderson.  I’m going with She Kin Sing as the top choice here.  She was seventh last out, but that was vs. graded horses and this is obviously softer than that group.  She won both of her other races and that’s enough to give her the green-light with me.  I’ll put Local Immunity in the middle of this one as well, as she looked good when third vs. stakes company in her most recent.  That was over a wet track and she was passing horses late, so she looks like a horse that can be trouble here today.  I think Tongrario Crossing is a horse that should be give a lot of attention.  I’m not big on horses that win those 2f sprints, but she’s been working over long distances and looks like she will just run on for days.

As with all of these 2yo races, it’s anyone’s game…   and we have a pair of good ones here on a Sunday, so grab a spot by the rail and let’s see how things go.

Here’s The Field –

1
Conquest Of Paradise    Nakamura Stables    Court J K   120   8/1

Got the job done in her second start, taking down Cal-bred maidens at LA, getting home in a pretty quick time.  Her first race was somewhat forgettable so the fact that she bounced back like that should give some big hope here.  Is she this caliber of a race horse?

2
Tongariro Crossing    Smokey Stover    Saez G   120   7/1

Broke maiden in her first trip to the starting gate, taking down Cal-bred maidens at GG and led the whole way in that abbreviated 2f sprint.  That was back in April, so they gave her some time to mature and look to keep the wheels turning.  That was a sharp turf work at PRX, so even if this doesn’t work out, I’d look for her on the grass soon.

3
   Miss Fancy    Hippyheart    Lanerie C J   120   5/1

Third time was the charm as she got the job done last out over this track.  She was close in each of those other two races, but I do like a horse-for-course and she seems to like it here at ELP.  Give her a big look.

4
   Lawbringer    Rampage Stable    Leparoux J R   120   8/1

Won at first asking, getting the maiden win out of the way at SA, then was ninth in the Debutante at CD.  She was outrun through most of that one, but was only beaten three lengths in the end, so maybe she hangs a bit closer to the pace and cane make some noise at a good price.

5
Storm Force    Arindel    Garcia Mar   120   5/1

Nice maiden win at CD and that was over a wet strip in Louisville.  Won by two that day, and was fourth in her only other start, so this one sure does seem to have some real talent.  Solid string of am gallops getting ready for this one and she looks to be any type.

6
Pour Me Another    Tiratzo    Cabrera D   120   8/1

Was fourth in her debut at PRX then came back to beat freebies at PEN, controlling that one and winning by two.  She’s been rested since May, so let’s see if she can run big off of the break and continue to show her speed and winning ability.

7
   Local Immunity    D J C Racing Stables    Geroux F   120   5/2

Game win at BEL breaking maiden vs NY-bred and then came back to be third in the Astoria, over a wet strip.  She has been galloping at SAR so I’m surprised they didn’t go after a NY-bred stakes, but here she is and she looks formidable in this bunch.  I think she may be the one to beat.

8
Snakie Moon    John Henry    Bejarano R   120   9/2

Battled hard to get the win at WO to break maiden.  She was game in that PIM debut as well, so she seems to have some ability and heart.  She has shown some sharp am moves and seems like a horse that will be part of the mix today.

9
Intrinsic Intensity    Acber Farms    Arrieta F   120   6/1

Broke maiden at GG last out showing good speed and winning by a length.  She was sixth in her debut, but did show some late interest in that one, so she looks like a nice horse.  She’s been working over this track and had a bullet work prepping for today.  I’d certainly put her in the mix.

10
She Kin Sing    Axeman    Beschizza A   122   9/2

Broke maiden at CT in her first trip to the starting gate, then followed that up with a nice score at TUP vs. stakes company.  Was seventh in the Schuylerville (GIII) at SAR in her most recent, but was only three lengths back from the winner.  This one can run a little bit and you have to give her a big look and a big chance.

11
Great Childe    London Racing    Hernandez B J Jr   120   8/1

Broke maiden at PRX at the $30.000 claimer level and the hostile takeover insued and she was tagged.  Now they go right into the deep end of the pool and take on black-types, so there’s no doubt they like what they see.  She was third at TAM in her debut, so yeah… everyone should like what they see.
