Oh thank goodness… there for a second, I thought I wouldn’t have a dead-heat to cover, but HRP never disappoints.  Flat Cup, from the very hot Fractious barn, split horses, closed well, and got up in the last few strides to take The Hutcheson Stakes, covering the six furlongs in 1:09.06, while prevailing by just a head over luke-warm post-time favorite Figure Of Speech.  That one had the lead in the lane but could not hold off the eventual winner while taking the second spot.  Heavy Impulse was a length back in third, then the magic of the dead-heat as Chai Silent Type and Rattling Cow Party spit the minor money.  Six lengths covered the field.
