This was the best horse in the race on paper and it was great to see him overcome a bad draw and a 2Lb penalty to win by a game half length. This was his third statebred stakes in a row and it will be interesting to see how he does when taken into graded class. If this is evidence then the sooner the better because he really looks like a tryer.

Suited by the wide gate speed push as he is an on pace type he stuck on really well but just couldnt hold off the winner. Another that should be able to step out of statebreds and make his presence felt in better grade.

3rd Start The Engine Axeman Ochoa J

Ran home hard as expected and grabbed a good third in the end. When he is back over a mile plus we will see the best of him.

4th Desecrator Jive Inc. Gomez E P

Kept on for fourth but was always struggling to go the pace. We will see the best of him over further.
