It’s Flying Nun’s Turn to Strike Like Lightning

The Lightning City Stakes
5 Furlongs Turf Stake Purse $100.000 Filly & Mare 4 Year Olds And Up.

1st Flying Nun Maxmillion Farm Boulanger G

Turned round the Ladies Sprint form with relative ease coming home a length clear of Royal Kunia. What the reason was for this improvement is as usual unknown so we can only assume she needed that seasonal debut and was fitter today. I doubt that was the case but hey, we gotta make up something.

2nd Royal Kunia Smokey Stover Centeno D E

Beat Flying Nun last time but looked clearly second best today. No real reason why other than today something decided to change, there are a hundred possible reason but we wont ever know. I am sure this speedy filly will be winning her share of these sorts of races but it just wasnt today.

3rd Z Laffy One Ace Racing Stable Camacho Sa

Made some nice ground up for third but it was a fairly slow early pace so it was always going to prove too difficult.

4th Huzza John Henry Morales P

A shadow of her former self, this go on turf did nothing to improve her form and i feel the breeding shed wont be far away.
