Belle Mahone Grade 3 1 1/16 on Dirt

Purse $150.00 For Fillies And Mares Four Years Old And Upward

Woodbine Racetrack Toronto, Ontario Canada

Wavy Girl from Saratoga Stud waved bye-bye in deep stretch and then hung on gamely to best the fast closing No Ones Comparing from Mb Stables in front of a large crowd on Saturday afternoon. “Girl” gets her first win since she ran back-to-back winning races in February and March of last year. Congrats to the winning connections. The aforementioned No Ones Comparing closed from the back of the pack in methodical style, leveling off at what appeared to be just the right time in a dead run coming to the wire to just miss the prize. Solid effort. Love Music from Ire Iron Stables got a good amount of public support and backed it up with an impressive performance hitting the end of the trifecta. Star Sapphire from John Henry also closed good ground from far back in a performance good enough to see her hit the end of the superfecta.

Of The Rest:

R U Ready To Code from The Sidley Stud fought hard from her outside post to settle in good position behind the leaders but didn’t have quite enough left in the stretch to threaten more than a fifth-place finish.

Mightiness from Winning Link Stables had a questionable work tab coming into this race and sure tried to still fire a big shot. It will be interesting to see where she shows up next.

Complicated Crazy from TwinTowersRacing came out and was reserved by her rider to not over race. When she was asked the question, she responded by continuing to grind away in an even effort.

Black Regazze from Nakamura Stables pressed the pace the whole way and then regressed through the lane to finish well off the board in a disappointing performance.

Apple Berry from Arq Racingfarms, as expected tried to go gate-to-wire from her inside post. To be fair, she gave a good sight for a decent amount of time, but then tired and dropped out of contention. Look for her to drop to a more reasonable level in her next start.

Reflex Action, also from The Sidley Stud pressed the pace and stopped when the real racing started.

Spelkenfelter Twin from Paradise Stable was unable to repeat her good Arcadia performance in her last start and ran last after sitting just off the pace early.
