1 Without Snowflakes, trained by Australia Wide

This lightly raced filly was claimed for eighty dollars by the new owner when taking a fast run race at CD. Since that win she took a one win allowance at AP by just under a length again in a decent winning time suggesting she is much better than average. This is her first step into black type company and she look more than capable of making the step up in grade.

2 World Of Wonder. Trained by Tea 7 Illusions

This filly is proven in this grade and demands respect even though she is tackling a surface and trip she hasn’t faced before. She made all to hold on in a small field to win the Lady Angela Stakes but that was on a sloppy dirt track over seven furlongs and is a world away from what she will face today. Her only other start on turf was a disappointing run in maiden company so I am not overly convinced she will be suited by todays conditions but she has worked well enough to suggest she has improved since that run. An interesting entry who certainly adds a conundrum to this puzzle.

3 And Again, trained by Team 7 Illusions

The second entry in this race she is more suited by the surface but is untested over the trip. Her only start in Stakes Company came in the Passing Mood Stakes where she was a fairly uninspiring fourth of five so the bare form suggests she may struggle but this is a small and fairly average field so with some good turf works to her name you have to give her a chance.

4 Rio Tinto, trained by Diablo Diablo

This daughter of Copper Bottom has the distinction of breaking her maiden in Allowance company and out of them all she may be best suited by this trip and surface. I liked her finish in her last race, an overnight at ELP, where she was only fifth but hit the line nicely. Her works are very comparable with the rest of the field and I have a feeling she is a little better than her record suggests.

SUMMARY

This is a very tight race indeed. If you looked at work times you would have to say any of them could win and the form doesn’t read much different so it is without much confidence that I am going for the exacta of 1 and 4.
