Kowloon City Narrowly Wins The Singletary Stakes

The Singletary Stakes – NG

SA Race 6 1M – Turf
Purse $100.000
Three Year Olds

1st Kowloon City, trained by Nakamura Stables

A big win for the Nakamura Stables trainee here as he ends up getting the job done and earning his first stakes win by a neck at the wire. He was getting a little tired at the end but he stopped the clock in 1:33.25 and earned $60.000 for the win.

2nd Insist Always, trained by Mb Stables

A very good try with a closing second from last from this horse here. He was pretty lucky with a fast pace for most of the way but he just could not make up that final little bit near the wire. He still ran a very good second though.

3rd Through The World, trained by La Canada Racehorses

Another close finish for this horse as he was beaten a half length by the winner. He sat in a pretty good spot right behind the leaders and he looked like he had a shot to go on with it. He ran a good race but just could not get the win.

4th Bannister, trained by John Henry

Last runner on the board here and he also ran a good race to only get beat by a length by the first place finisher. Sort of a flat race from him as he just sort of ran in place the whole around there. He did at least hit the board.

Summary

Well the winner improved a whole lot from his last start and even beat the runner up who had beaten him the time before. He also got his first stakes win in here. Congratulations to Kowloon City and Nakamura Stables.
