1st Full Refund, trained by Spankys Barn

The winner from way back in the field on the soft going was this horse for the Spankys Barn stable. A claimer just back in January he is now a graded stakes winner and did it impressively in here. This time he loved the soft going and won from last. He ran the race in 1:51.00 and earned $120.000.

2nd Block Message, trained by Tiratzo

Once this horse hit the lead and opened up the race looked over for a second at least. After that he had to try and hold off the charge of the winner. He could not do that but still ran game to hang on for a second place finish. He is now a graded stakes placed runner and will likely improve off of this race.

3rd Nowhere Man, trained by Smokey Stover

The Smokey Stover gelding was just no match for the top two but ran a good race to finish in the third spot. He tried to make a run from midpack but could never make a serious challenge for the win. He is also now a graded stakes placed runner and will also likely improve off of this race.

4th Erupt, trained by D J C Racing Stables

Now while the wizard D J C Racing Stables couldn’t manage to get a win he still at least managed to hit the board and earn a little of his money back. It wasn’t ideal conditions for this horses first start on the turf and I’m sure he will get another chance of this surface in the future for sure.

Summary

Well the winner just couldn’t be stopped in his last to first victory as he came from at least nine lengths back to win. He is now a graded stakes winner and did it nicely in here. The other top three finishers are now graded stakes placed and the others will look to improve some before they win at this level.
