The Mother Goose Grade 2

1 1/16th on Dirt for 3 year old Fillies Purse $300

Belmont Park, Elmont, NY

–Malibu Cracker from Martyparty should be able to work out a trip from gate nine and shows a real nice six for nine win slate. She is game and catches a Mother Goose field that will not go down in history as the finest ever assembled. Many questions to be answered by a lot of the foes here in the 2026 renewal. Boardwalk Freak from Noblepark got no favors at the draw, but she should still be able to produce a threatening run here. Expect her to break slowly on purpose, move over towards the rail and come motoring late. Her number earned last time coupled with her worktable tells me it’s all systems go here. Fire Missle from Mb Stables has struggled a touch since her big win three back. With a muddy pace picture for this, I expect a solid effort. The addition of a second runner with speed from the barn only adds to the questions in this event. She Makes The Rules from Winning Link Stables is interesting here. Taken for $137.52 at auction from the leading barn and now making her first start for the new connections against him only add to the storyline of this event. Regardless of the human connections, this gal has done nothing wrong in three lifetime starts and her numbers earned so far chart very close here if the new barn can get her to fire.

Of The Rest:

Sod Fairy from Nakamura Stables draws the rail here and finds a decent spot to get back on track here if she can produce her top effort, she fits as good as anybody. Five for thirteen win slate indicate her willpower as well.

Dont Take The Girl from Big Jd Racing is the feel good storyline here as she was taken for only $5 and now ends up in graded stakes. Her number from her last start win in an Ontario state bred stakes fit and if duplicated would be dangerous.

Smokin Fire, also from Mb Stables was taken off another solid barn (La Canada Racehorses) for only $25.00 and toyed with optional foes in her first start for the new connections. Ending up here is interesting because her main style shown goes head-to-head with her more seasoned stablemate, literally… Head scratcher for sure and won’t be surprised at all to see her take back and make one run instead.

Something Aint Right from Alydar Stables has a Grade 1 effort showing that puts her squarely in the hunt here if reproduced. However, she is zero for five routing and might be looking for one turn only. More food for thought.

Face Plant from TwinTowers Racing is zero for seven routing and with only her maiden breaker in the win column overall looks to be in deep waters Saturday.

Sexy Lexy from DJC Racing Stables is certainly game, but also hasn’t won routing and clearly hasn’t faced the likes of these types of foes yet. Not thinking that she will enjoy the company much Saturday.
