Maxmillion Fixes the Yellow Ribbon Handicap

Yellow Ribbon Handicap – Grade II
1 1/16 Mile Turf Stake Purse $150.000 Filly & Mare 3 Year Olds And Up.

1st Fixes Maxmillion Farm Pereira T J

Its no surprise anymore when an entire field finish within one length of each other in the same way its no surprise to see the turf king come out on top with a horse that is a rank outsider according to the odds generator. Previously this horse had shown promise at overnight level but hadn’t been able to break through when tested. Today with the perfect draw the five year old gained her first graded stakes win with a gutsy win by a quarter length. I am not sure how much improvement she has in her but witha record of six wins from just eleven starts and now a grade two victory she certainly just improved her stud value.

2nd Delinquent Assembly Nakamura Stables Fuentes Ru

Third in a grade one last time just wasn’t good enough form to beat a mare that had not placed at graded level before. Maybe it was the one pound difference, maybe she was just out finished by a better horse on the day. Either way she ran well enough to keep her around and i am sure she will find more black type before the paddock claims her.

3rd Nancy Broom Moytoy Smokey Stover Cedillo A

Was never far off the leaders and battled on bravely but the five year old is finding it hard this year to get a win and i wonder just how long her trainer will keep her at the track.

4th High Ended Fractious Prat F

Went on the speed which was fairly strong and stuck on without quickening. Its hard to find fault in the run considering where everything finished in a heap.
