Ms Gummybear Puts Them Under Her Spell in Bewitch

Bewitch – Grade III
1 1/2 Mile Turf Stake Purse $150.000 Filly & Mare 4 Year Olds And Up.

1st Ms Gummybear, trained by Aer Stables
Well this mare that has struggled to find an owner that wants to keep her
seems finally to have found a home. She has promised so much in the past but
had her campaigns cut short by being sold on, today as she made it two wins
from three for AER Stables and took this nice race i should imagine she will
stay put for a while. Travelling just off the leaders she picked them up
smoothly and eventually strode away for an easy win. She is clearly a filly
that loves a test of stamina and a successful season looks in store.

2nd Broomsticks N Booty, trained by Drabfantasy
Whether it was the trip or the surface she struggled badly in the last two
furlongs after making the early running. The wide speed push put her in front
and as we know regardless of pace the leaders very rarely last if they start
wide. She kept on gamely enough to hold second but i feel a shorter trip and
a dirt surface will see her back in form.

3rd Leave Me Alone, Mb Stables
Kept on pretty well for third after getting a little back early on. This wasnt
a bad effort but was probably the best she is capable of at this stage of her
career.

4th Family Myth, trained by Barcelona Farms
Trailed early on and made up some ground into fourth but never really looked like
worrying the leaders.

5th Whiskey Wings
Got in a close stalk early on but weakened badly. When you compare this run
with her last over the same trip and surface you have to wonder what happened
today, maybe it was just a random event or maybe something was amiss with her
today.

6th Moonlight Cloud
She again showed her inability to run two races the same with a very poor effort.
