The 2019 My Charmer Hcp (GIII) will pit nine fillies and mares at the flat mile distance on the inner GP turf course and it’s a very evenly matched race with some that are rested, some that are struggling and some that are very consistent while racing against lesser.  I took a pass on this one but The Green Card and Scotty likes Smart Queen to take this one and if she can run back to that Yellow Ribbon (GII) effort then she should be tough.  Dalitierri Girl is another that has shown a lot of ability and cannot be ignored.
Here’s the Field…

1
Dalitierri Girl  Our Athletes  Lopez P 120 7/2

Almost set the world on fire in that last race at SA, when she was second in the Goldikova (GII) at nearly 400/1 odds. She has three wins this season including the Caress at SAR, so ignoring her is never smart, as proven last out.  Solid work over the track getting ready for today.

2
 Fixes  Maxmillion Farm  Tunon M 119 6/1

Had her four race win streak snapped when tiring to be sixth in the fore-mentioned Goldikova (GII) which was a bit surprising to me.  I’m looking for her to bounce back at a price today and should be in the thick of it at the wire.

3
Smart Queen  Night Rider Stables  Maragh Ro 119 4/1

Consistent type that has been lightly raced this season, showing a win and a third from three starts.  Won over this track back in Feb to kick the year off and was third beaten a length last out in the Yellow Ribbon (GII) at DMR back in Aug.  Comes back from another layoff and could be a factor.

4
 Saddle Happy  Our Athletes  Leparoux J R 120 12/1

Struggled in her two graded efforts but has been right in the thick of things while facing Alw company.  Another that has been freshened up and she will need to run her best to get any parts of this one.

5
Absolute Bella  Luz International  Juarez N 119 6/1

This mare has three wins and a pair of thirds from her five seasonal starts and she always seems to be in the hunt.  Tired a bit to be third at DMR vs. stakes company, so you know she fits well with these.  I’m expecting her to be in the thick of this one as well.

6
Brutal Heat  Chili King Stables  Landeros C 119 10/1

She’s still looking for her first win of the year but does have a pair of runner-up efforts since switching hands back in Aug. and the other two starts were vs. graded stakes company.  We know who she’s facing today so she needs her best to be in the hunt.

7
Pennys Pearl  Angelos Stable  Jaramillo E 119 8/1

A nice Alw win and two fourth place finishes against black-type runners since being nabbed for $40.000 back in Aug.  She was back in short order for that win and they try similar here today, hoping to score the win.

8
City Never Sleeps  Fractious  Corrales G 120 10/1

She’s still looking for her first win of the ’19 season and will be doing it for a new owner as she changed hands for $150.000 after a runner-up effort vs. OptAlw types.  She’s been on the board vs. stakes horses, back in the spring/summer months, and will have to find some of the old magic to be a threat here.

9
Graceful American  Nakamura Stables  Saez L 119 12/1

She’s only missed the board in one of eight starts while facing lesser types than what she sees today.  Nice win at AQU beating NY-bred Opt in her most recent and that runner-up effort prior may be the race to look at.  That was a quick race and if she can revert back to that Sept form, she could get a chunk of this.
